VW Crankshaft Timing Gear Lock Tool. BLAU Crankshaft Gear Pulley Holding Tool is equivalent to tool T10050. Used to hold the lower timing belt gear pulley in place and helps maintain TDC during timing belt or other engine service. Tool slides into the gears of the lower timing belt pulley and then into the oil pump casting housing for an exact crank timing reference. Fits 2004-2008 VW Beetle, 2004-2006 VW Golf, 2004-2005 VW Jetta, and 2004-2005 VW Passat 1.9L or 2.0L TDI applications with BEW or BHW engine codes.

T10050 - VW Crankshaft Gear Pulley Holding Tool
Tool T10050 is used to hold the lower timing belt gear pulley in place well performing a timing belt service on your VW TDI or any type of engine breakdown when engine TDC should be maintained. The tool slides into the gears of the lower timing belt pulley and then into the oil pump casting housing for an exact crank timing reference. This allows the crankshaft to not rotate when removing and installing the timing belt.
Please Note: This tool is NOT the specified tool to be used when torquing or loosening the crankshaft bolt.
