Oil Change Kit Options: We offer two different motor oil options for the 2.0T VW oil change kits. The 5w40 kit offers the high end full synthetic RAVENOL VMO with VW 502 00 OEM approval as required for the 2.0T engines. The 5w30 kit offers a high quality yet economical RAVENOL HPS synthetic blend for the more cost conscious individual, while yet maintaining VW 502 00 oil specifications as required for the VW 2.0T engine. Both motor oils meet extended oil change intervals according to manufacturers recommendations and feature RAVENOL's proprietary CleanSynto Technology.
About RAVENOL Oil: RAVENOL oil is 100% genuine German. Manufactured and bottled in Germany since 1946! RAVENOL is revolutionizing motor oil with CleanSynto technology! Superior synthetic base stocks and advanced German engineered additive packages outperform others leading oils and provides maximum lubrication during extended oil change intervals. CleanSynto technology is proven to clean and keep internal engine components cleaner, maximize engine durability, reduce maintenance costs, improve fuel mileage, and reduce engine emissions. RAVENOL oils also feature formal OEM approvals.
Mahle Original Oil Filters: Mahle is an Official OE oil filter manufacturer that has been supplying oil filters to the German automakers for years. Since the late 1920s Mahle has set the standard in filtration as Germany's premier automotive filter manufacturer. Mahle's continuous engineering and innovation is driven by performance. Mahle oil filters use the latest generation in oil filter designs, state-of-the-art oil filter materials, and are specifically designed for your engine.
What is the Best VW Oil Change Interval? Our Blauparts oil change kits are designed for the factory recommended VW oil change intervals. However depending on rough driving conditions or spirited driving styles Blauparts recommends an earlier oil change interval or every 6 months which ever occurs first. Changing your VW oil is good preventative maintenance in an effort to minimize long term engine repair costs.
What Oil Type Should I Use? We suggest always using oils that specifically indicate an Audi/VW oil quality specification on the bottle (Example: VW 504 00/507 00). These oils have been created with your vehicles engine design and style in mind. By using approved specification oil you will greatly improve your vehicles mechanical longevity and performance. Many engines that use generic style engine oils will most likely have premature mechanical problems later in mileage (Example: premature oil consumption, worn engine internals, blown and worn turbochargers, prematurely plugged cranks ventilation and PCV systems, plugged diesel particulate filters and catalytic converters).
VW Oil Changes and Warranty? Blauparts recommends that any vehicle under factory warranty use an engine oil with OEM approvals for the required oil specification.
What's the difference between an oil that meets an oil specification and an oil that has OEM Approvals or an approved specification? An oil that has an approval has received a formal letter of approval from the car manufacturer that the oil specified can be used in their engines whereas an oil that meets an oil specification has not received a formal letter of approval from the car manufacturer.
