Attention: The total dry Toyota FJ Cruiser transmission fill capacity is 10.7 liters or 10.3 quarts. However, due to the transmission design, only about 4.3 liters of Toyota WS transmission fluid will drain when removing the transmission pan and changing the transmission filter. Around 6.4 liters of fluid will be remaining in the transmission torque converter and other related transmission components. Our current understanding is that a reasonable way to flush the remaining old Toyota ATF WS fluid out of the torque converter is to perform multiple fluid changes in short succession.
