BLAU Sprinter Rear Differential Fluid Change Kit Includes:

• Qty 3 - 1 liter bottles (as pictured) of Fully Synthetic Ravenol Gear Oil VSG 75W-90 GL-5 comprises 1 kit. Improved high-performance replacement or equivalent to the original recommended Sprinter rear differential gear oil specification MB 235.8 hypoid gear.
• Rear Differential Capacity Note: This kit was configured to include the correct amount of gear lube for the rear differential axles used in most Sprinter models from 2002-2018 with a capacity range of 2.2-2.8 liters requiring Qty 3 RAVENOL VSG 75W90 GL-5 as noted above. However, your vehicle could possibly be equipped with the less popular rear differential axle code 741.415 or 741.423 with a refill capacity of only 1.5 liters. If you confirm your vehicle is equipped with this axle code, you may wish to adjust the cart quantity of the RAVENOL VSG 75W90 GL-5 to quantity 2 instead of 3, or else you may receive 1 extra liter.

Differential Gear Oil Fluid Specification and Capacity Notes:

• Typically the 2004-2018 Sprinter owner's manuals recommend the use of both an MB 235.8 type spec 75W-90 GL-5 or MB 235.20 SAE 80W-90 GL-5 type gear oil. Also, some 2004 and older Sprinter owner's manuals may have recommended an MS-8985, MB 235.0, or MB 235.6, with SAE 75W-140, 80W-90, or 90W GL-5 viscosity for use in the rear differentials. We feel using the most recent MB 235.8 SAE 75W-90 GL-5 gear oil quality specifications will offer the best performance over the older mineral-based gear oils. The MB 235.8 should offer improved performance for initial differential lubrication flow and quality during the initial driving period in colder conditions while still maintaining the recommended 90-weight in high-heat EP shear stability situations.
• Our recommended RAVENOL VSG 75W-90 GL-5 is a high-performance gear oil based on a premium fully synthetic base oil and meets or exceeds the original MB 235.8 hypoid gear oil recommendation requirements for the 2015-2018 4WD Sprinter front and rear differentials. The VSG 75W-90 MB 235.8 includes the necessary EP extreme pressure additives for hypoid differentials.
• Rear Differential Capacity Note: This kit was configured to include the correct amount of gear lube for the rear differential axles used in most Sprinter models from 2015-2018 with a capacity range of 2.2-2.8 liters requiring Qty 3 RAVENOL VSG 75W90 GL-5 as noted above. However, your vehicle could possibly be equipped with the less popular rear differential axle code 741.415 or 741.423 with a refill capacity of only 1.5 liters.
