The BMW Longlife-04 oil type was formulated around 2004 for BMW diesel engines equipped with diesel particulate filter (DPF) exhaust systems. The BMW Longlife-04 oil specification may also be referred to as BMW LL04 oil, BMW Longlife 04 oil (without the dash). BMW Longlife-04 oil can be used in place of twin power turbo BMW oil, as well as the updated BMW Longlife-12FE spec when not available in your region. Or some prefer to use the BMW LL04 5W30 weight oil instead of the 0W30 Longlife-12FE type.
