Blauparts offers Improved OEM Audi S4 brake hoses. These brake hoses have the same design, thread, and length as the factory brake hoses resulting in guaranteed factory fitment and performance. The brake hoses are made of three layers. The inner layer is a corrosion and brake-fluid-resistant compound made of a PTFE / Teflon compound, designed to seal in the brake fluid. The center layer is a high strength metal / fabric webbed mesh. This provides the brake hose with strength and stops the hose from expanding and contracting, giving great brake pedal feel. The outer layer is a rubber coating, which gives the brake hose protection from the elements of the road for a long service life. The hoses also have heavy duty strain relief jackets at the hose fitting ends which ensures the hose will not kink when the wheel is turned to full left or right. Also included is an anti wear grommet to prevent the hose from chafing on suspension components.
When performing your brake service it is best to inspect all brake hoses to make sure they are in good functioning condition. Over time, due to ageing, your Audi brake hoses may need to be replaced. Ageing brake hoses can collapse, bulge, deform, and have weak spots. These older brake hoses can cause unsuspected brake failure due to bursting. Also, at some point in your Audi's brake pad and rotor replacement history, the brake hoses could have been kinked causing an internal brake hose collapse. A collapsed brake hose can cause the brake fluid pressure to not fully release from the brake caliper. This can cause the brakes to drag, leading to prematurely glazed and worn brake pads and rotors, and warped rotors.
