Differential gear oil and transfer case fluid specification capacity notes:

• The 2019-2026 Ram 3500 recommends the use of SAE 75W-85 API GL-5 gear oil in both front and single rear wheel differentials. For models with dual rear wheel (dually), a SAE 75W-140 API GL-5 gear oil is recommended for the rear differential.
• Our recommended RAVENOL DGL 75W-85 GL-5 LS and RAVENOL SLS 75W-140 GL-5 LS gear oils are high-performance gear oils based on premium fully synthetic PAO group 4 base oil. They both meet or exceed all original OEM gear oil recommendation requirements for the front and rear differentials in Ram Heavy Duty 4x4 trucks. Both gear oils include limited-slip additives in their formulation that are specifically engineered for limited-slip differential applications. No additional limited-slip additives are required when using either gear oil.
