Does the blue color of the marine oil affect the outboard or does it stick to the engine in future oil changes?

The blue marine oil color is a tint to identify specific marine applications in accordance with the certification of the National Marine Motor it is associated with. This 3rd party certification is an inspection of quality or an approval to ensure it meets strict marine oil standards for lubrication, corrosion prevention, and high-performance in harsh environments. The marine oil’s required blue tint will not stick to anything. When the marine oil is used for a little while, the blue color will minimize as the detergents and dispersant additives absorb wear and contaminants. The marine oil color or tint does not add or eliminate any performance. Simply a color for identification.
