What is the Best BMW Oil Change Interval? Our Blauparts oil change kits are designed for the factory recommended BMW oil change intervals of 10,000 miles. However depending on difficult driving style and conditions Blauparts recommends an earlier oil change interval such a 5,000-8,000 miles or every 6 months. An earlier BMW oil service change interval is good preventative maintenance in an effort to minimize long term engine repair costs.

BMW Approved Oil? There is a difference between an engine oil that “meets” an oil specification and an oil that has “approvals” or OEM approved specification. An oil that has an “oem approval” has received a formal letter of approval from the car manufacturer that the oil specified can be used in their engines whereas an oil that “meets” an oil specification has not received a formal letter of approval from the car manufacturer.
