What is the Best BMW Oil Change Interval? Our Blauparts oil change kits are designed for the factory recommended BMW Diesel oil change intervals of 10,000-15,000 miles. However depending on difficult driving style and conditions Blauparts recommends an earlier oil change interval such a 5,000-8,000 miles or every 6 months. An earlier BMW Diesel oil change interval is good preventative maintenance in an effort to minimize long term engine repair costs.

BMW Approved Oil? There is a difference between an engine oil that “meets” an oil specification and an oil that has “approvals” or OEM approved specification. An oil that has an “oem approval” has received a formal letter of approval from the car manufacturer that the oil specified can be used in their engines whereas an oil that “meets” an oil specification has not received a formal letter of approval from the car manufacturer.
