Kioti Tractor Engine Oil Change Info
This Kioti tractor oil change is demonstrated on a 2020 Kioti CK10 Series CK2510 HTS with tier 3 and 4 naturally aspirated diesel engines. However, the engine oil and Kioti oil filter change procedures also apply to the following models:
- 2015 - 2022 Kioti CK2510 oil change
- 2015 - 2022 Kioti CK2610, CK3510, and CK4010 oil change
- Please Note: The same Kioti oil change procedures and information should apply to CK2610, CK3510, CK4010 models. There may be some slight visual differences depending on the model year. From our understanding, the models are essentially typical to each other, the primary difference between them is engine ECU programming and minor engine component changes that allow the same engine long block (between the models) to produce more horsepower but the remainder of other tractor components are essentially the same.

Kioti Tractor Oil Change Interval
- Per the Kioti owner’s manual the oil should be changed every 250 running hours or once every year. This tractor oil change interval is applicable to 2015 - 2020 Kioti CK10 Series Tier 2 and 3 tractors without DPF emissions exhaust systems.
- Per the Kioti owner’s manual the oil should be changed every 400 running hours or once every year. This tractor oil change interval is applicable to 2021 - 2023 Kioti CK10 Series Tier 4 with DPF emissions exhaust systems.
- Something to consider... If the tractor is often under heavy loads such as tilling or other implement attachments driven by the PTO, or ambient air temperatures above 80° F, Blauparts recommends changing your oil sooner, such as every 100 hours (Tier 2 or 3 engines) and 150 hours (Tier 4 engines) or every 6 months, whichever occurs first.
- Please Note: The above Kioti tractor oil change interval recommendations should only be followed if you are using an oil that states on the datasheet or bottle that it meets or exceeds OEM Kioti oil quality specifications required, as well as, an OEM oil filter that is designed for extended oil change intervals. Using generic aftermarket oils or engine oils that don't have the correct Kioti oil specification listed on the bottle, this can lead to engine mechanical breakdowns and reliability issues associated with the tractors DPF emission system components (if equipped). Blauparts offers EUROL Geo-Max SA SAE 15W40, which is a heavy duty diesel tractor oil that meets and exceeds the Kioti oil type required for demanding operating loads while providing excellent engine protection and extended hour oil change intervals.

Step-by-Step Kioti Tractor Oil Change Instructions - CK10 Series
How To Step 1
To avoid contamination of the tractor’s internal engine components during the installation and refilling of new filters and engine oil, it is always a good idea to clean the tractor by pressure washing it before performing and oil change. Be sure to especially clean the engine’s oil drain pan plug, oil filter, and engine oil dip stick areas.
How To Step 2
The Kioti oil change should be performed on a flat level surface when the engine is warm. This will allow the old oil to flow and drain more thoroughly from the engine.
How To Step 3
The PTO drive shaft goes down the middle of the underside of the tractor, dividing the engine’s oil pan sump into two. Thus (2) oil drain plugs. Using a 17-millimeter wrench loosen and remove both oil pan drain plugs in a counterclockwise direction. There is one drain plug on each side of the engine oil pan. As you remove the drain plug, allow the oil to drain into a suitable waste oil drain pan.
How To Step 4
As the oil is draining, clean and inspect the drain plug threads and seal for imperfections. The drain plug should be replaced if the threads are damaged, or imperfections exist with the built-in seal washer.
How To Step 5
Once the oil is drained reinstall the drain plug, threading it in a clockwise direction. Using a 17-millimeter socket and torque wrench, tighten the drain plug. In our case we tightened ours to 25 ft lb torque specification.
How To Step 6
Clean any oil residue from around the drain plug area.
How To Step 7
Locate the oil filter on the lower right-hand side of the engine. Prepare to loosen the oil filter by first accessing the oil filter from the left-hand side of the filter as shown in the image. Using an oil filter wrench begin loosening the oil filter in a counterclockwise direction. Do not loosen the filter to the point.
How To Step 8
Before the oil filter begins draining, make a homemade funnel (in our case, we used part of the side of an old 1-gallon windshield washer plastic bottle as a funnel to channel dripping filter oil away from the tractor once we loosen the oil filter from the engine. Making a home funnel will result in less clean-up and can minimize large amounts of oil dripping onto the side of the tractor frame when removing the old oil filter.
How To Step 9
Continue to loosen and remove the oil filter, guide the oil filter down to your suitable drain pan container.
How To Step 10
Using a clean rag cleans the oil filter sealing area on the engine from any contaminants or debris then lubricate the oil filter seal with fresh oil. This will allow the new oil filter to correctly seal and mate to the engine and aid the oil filter removal during your next oil change.
How To Step 11
Begin Installing your new oil filter by threading it on to the engine in a clockwise direction, tightening it to a snug hand tight feel. Once snug, tighten the filter an additional 1/8 to 1/4 turn more by hand to fully tighten.
How To Step 12
Using a rag, clean and remove the excess oil from around the oil filter. This will help when inspecting and confirming that the oil filter area does not have any leaks after performing your oil change.
How To Step 13
Open the hood of the tractor and locate the oil fill cap on the top of the engine valve cover where the upper radiator hose attaches to the engine. Clean the oil cap and the surrounding area with a rag etc. before removing it. After cleaning the area, loosen and remove the cap in a counterclockwise direction.
How To Step 14
Begin filling the engine with the recommended motor oil. Using a Flexible 12” pouring spout funnel fill the engine with new motor oil. In our case we are using EUROL Geo-Max SA diesel heavy duty SAE 15W-40 viscosity oil which exceeds both Kioti API CH or CJ engine oil specification oil quality specifications for Kioti CK models. The engine oil fill capacity for this for the Kioti CK2510 model is 1.53 gallons or 5.8 liters.
How To Step 15
Once you have completed filling the engine with oil, reinstall the oil fill cap tightening it in a clockwise direction.
How To Step 16
Start the engine and let it idle for 20-30 seconds. This will allow the engine's oil system to pressurize, giving you the opportunity to inspect and confirm that you have no oil leaks coming from the oil filter and drain plug areas.
How To Step 17
Check the oil level reading using the engine oil dipstick. Extract the dipstick, thoroughly clean it with a rag, and re-insert it into the engine.
Once again, remove the dipstick and confirm that the oil level is in the middle of the minimum and maximum level marks. Keep in mind that oil expands and contracts. As the engine reaches full operating temperature the oil fill capacity of 1.53 gallons or 5.8 liters will be at the maximum level mark on the engine oil dipstick.
How To Step 18
Dispose of waste oil responsibly by taking it to a certified recycling collection center.
Note: It is good to note in your records the current hours the time your Kioti motor oil change was performed. Also, you might want to note when the next change should occur. We also recommend keeping detailed service records to keep track of your tractor’s true condition. Keeping good tractor maintenance records can help improve your tractor resale value.
