Important Transmission Pan Gasket Fitment Notes: The 2006 Audi S4 6 speed automatic transmission came with two transmission pan gasket types. It is possible for these models to have a '23-bolt hole paper pan gasket' or a '13-bolt hole metal pan gasket'. Due to customers not knowing the exact manufacture date of their vehicle all 2005 through 2007 owners should confirm which transmission gasket type they have. To confirm which type of transmission pan gasket type you have proceed as follows.

• Confirm transmission code JJE, JNX, HYK, HYH, JTR, HYL (13 bolt hole metal gasket)
• Visually inspect the transmission pan and count the number of bolts mounting the pan to the transmission. 23 mounting bolts is the kit with the paper gasket and 13 bolts is the kit with the metal gasket.
