Please Note: The original OX835D oil filter is now superseded by the OX127D oil filter. The OX127D is an updated and higher quality filter media over the original design. The OX835D met all OEM specs for its inception in 2014 in the Audi VW 1.8 and 2.0 liter engines. However, since its inception several new modern models/engines now also use this oil filter in 2018+ models which has allowed for some higher and stricter oil filter media requirements. The updated filter media material is being required by the OEM now for 2018+ models. For all model years it is an overall performance improvement over the original OX835D design, providing better filtration and flow during the entire duration of an oil change as well as improved performance with modern synthetic oils.
