CleanSynto technology is proven to clean and keep internal engine components cleaner, maximize engine durability, reduce maintenance costs, improve fuel mileage, and reduce engine emissions. RAVENOL oils also feature formal factory approvals from many world leading manufactures such as Audi / VW (VAG), BMW, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, General Motors (GM), Mercedes-Benz, MACK, MAN, MTU, Porsche, Renault, Steyr Motors, TATRA, Volvo, ZF, Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover, and others.

Mahle Original Oil Filters: Mahle is an Official OE oil filter manufacturer that has been supplying oil filters to the German automakers for years. Since the late 1920s Mahle has set the standard in filtration as Germany's premier automotive filter manufacturer. Mahle's continuous engineering and innovation is driven by performance. Mahle oil filters use the latest generation in oil filter designs, state-of-the-art oil filter materials, and are specifically designed for your engine.

Oil Change Kit Options: We offer two different motor oil options for our 1.8T oil change kits. The 5w40 kit offers the high end Group 4 fully synthetic RAVENOL VMO with formal approval for the VW 502 00 motor oil quality standard as required for the 1.8T engines. The 5w30 kit offers a high quality yet economical RAVENOL HPS semi-synthetic for the more cost conscious individual, while yet maintaining VW 502 00 oil specification as required for the 1.8T engine. Both motor oils meet extended oil change intervals according to manufacturer’s recommendations.

Oil Filter Fitment Note: Its been requested by several customer to include the high capacity oil filter in our oil change kits for the VW Beetle 1.8t. However we have had reports from customers of clearance issues in the oil filter area and because of this we include the standard capacity oil filter as originally supplied on your engine from the factory. We have also had several Volkswagen Beetle 1.8t models in the shop with test fit clearance issues. If you feel the high capacity oil filter will work for your application feel free to contact us.

What is the Best VW Oil Change Interval? Our Blauparts oil change kits are designed for the factory recommended VW oil change intervals. However depending on rough driving conditions or spirited driving styles Blauparts recommends an earlier oil change intervals or every 6 months which ever occurs first. Changing your VW oil is good preventative maintenance in an effort to minimize long term engine repair costs.

What Oil Type Should I Use? We suggest always using oils that specifically indicate an Audi/VW oil quality specification on the bottle (Example: VW 504 00/507 00). These oils have been created with your vehicles engine design and style in mind. By using approved specification oil you will greatly improve your vehicles mechanical longevity and performance. Many engines that use generic style engine oils will most likely have premature mechanical problems later in mileage (Example: oil consumption, worn engine internals, blown and worn turbochargers, prematurely plugged crankcase ventilation and PCV systems, plugged diesel particulate filters and catalytic converters).

VW Oil Changes and Warranty? Blauparts recommends that any vehicle under factory warranty use an engine oil with formal factory approvals for the required oil specification.

What's the difference between an oil that “meets” an oil specification and an oil that has “OEM Approvals” or an approved specification? An oil that has an “approval” has received a formal letter of approval from the car manufacturer that the oil specified can be used in their engines whereas an oil that “meets” an oil specification has not received a formal letter of approval from the car manufacturer.
