Product Update 7/8/2014: This kit is now a Gen II BLAU Timing Belt Replacement Kit. What does this mean? Read our official BLAUNews Product Update. Also see more detailed product images.

Blauparts goal is to make your VW Passat timing belt repair job a success. Providing quality components for this crucial repair is our #1 priority. Our BLAU® INA Official OE Base Kit include components that are made by official OE manufacturers; the same manufacturer that made the timing belt and tensioners that were supplied on your vehicle on the assembly line! Take advantage of INA and BLAU's 25 years of GERMAN automotive excellence. Save hundreds of dollars over dealer prices and get the same official OE Quality. We care about our family of customers and this is reflected in the amount of added value put into every one of our timing belt kits.

Please Note: This timing belt kit includes the updated tensioners 06A 109 181 and 06A 109 243A. This is an updated timing belt design that supersede the old NTN tensioners for the 1.8T engine. This updated Litens timing belt tensioner design is a requirement from OE Volkswagen Audi Group (VAG) during timing belt replacement. VAG world wide is phasing out the NTN timing belt components that were originally fitted on your car and are replacing them with the new updated OE Litens designed tensioners included in this timing belt kit.

Please Note: The benefits of the Litens design offers improved reliability over the old NTN design by not relying on a hydraulic tensioner damper for timing belt tension. The new Litens design offers improvements through variable timing belt tension from the patented Litens' tensioner design.

Please Note: All 2001 models have the AWM engine code. However, 2001 AWM engines had a VIN split with two different timing belt system possibilities. 2001 owners will also need to confirm their VIN #. This kit is for the later VIN system, starting with VIN 042385. How To Decipher Your Audi VIN Number.
